A notorious sex offender believed to be in Hamilton gave himself up to police in Wanganui last night. Adam Biddle, 39, has been on the run after breaching supervision and was believed to have been in Hamilton. However, police today confirmed Biddle handed himself to Wanganui police last night. Biddle was on the run after breaching extended supervision orders that subjected him to parole-type conditions for up to 10 years after his release from prison.
Biddle has been convicted of sexual offences against children. It was Biddle's third breach of his conditions. Two breaches were for coming into contact with children under 16. However, the breaches did not lead to any further charges for sexual offending. Biddle had not offended in about six years.

The victims were two girls aged between six and 14 and the judge said Biddle's offending had destroyed their chances of having normal sexual relationships. He warned Biddle that if he offended again in a similar way he would be sentenced to preventative detention.
