They were Taradale High School students Daniel Martin Cutbill, 18, Rewi Matiu John Gemmell, 17, Kent Russell Burns, 17, Mark Peter Hagen, 17, Gabriel Williams, 18, and Anthony Richard Lloyd, 18.
Hagen, Lloyd and Gemmell were each sentenced to 2-1/2 years, Williams and Cutbill to 2 years 3 months, and Burns to 2 years. Another teen, Andrew James Castles, 18, was previously sentenced to 2-1/2 years jail, after pleading guilty.
