Andrew Clive Rochford Averill
A Marlborough man jailed on Monday for assaulting two women, has been freed on bail pending an appeal against the sentence.
Vineyard labourer Andrew Clive Rochford Averill, 55, pleaded guilty to charges of assaulting a female and common assault after an unprovoked attack near Blenheim on May 27.
He was sentenced to four months' jail at the Wellington District Court on Monday.
Averill appealed against the sentence. The appeal is due to be heard at the High Court in Wellington on September 13.
